Jamaica

Commercial solar in Jamaica.

We're based in Clarendon and most of our installs are here - a poultry house, a short-let, a private home. Systems from 50 to 100 kilowatts, brought in, installed, certified and commissioned by one company.

23-24USĀ¢ per kWh, business rate
01What power costs here

High enough that a system stops being a good idea and starts being arithmetic.

At that rate a US$3,000 monthly bill is roughly 12,800 units of electricity. That number - the units, not the dollars - is what a system gets sized against, and it's the first thing we'll ask you for.

02How a system gets built

Nobody hands your job to someone else.

Most of what goes wrong on a commercial system goes wrong in the gaps - between the supplier, the shipping agent, the customs broker, the electrician and whoever is meant to certify it. There are no gaps here, because it is the same company the whole way.

Bought direct

Named makes and models, sourced from the manufacturer rather than whatever a distributor has in stock. You are told exactly what is going on the roof before anything is ordered.

Brought in on our side

Freight, importation, customs, duty and brokerage are our problem, not yours. The equipment arrives as a system to be installed rather than a container to be collected.

Installed to our design

Contractors who do the install and the commissioning, working to a system we designed and will be signing off ourselves.

Eight to twelve weeks

Typical for a 50 to 100 kilowatt system, from the order going in to the day it is switched on and handed over.

04Getting it signed off

A system that can't be certified is a system you can't sign off.

Every system we install is certified by a licensed specialist before it's handed over, and the permits and compliance side is part of the job rather than something you're left to sort out afterwards.

  • Certified before handover. We've taken on jobs where the system already sitting on the roof never was.
  • Commissioned, not just switched on.Tested, set up for monitoring, and followed up after. At 50 to 100 kW that isn't optional.
  • Warranties you can claim against.30 years on the panels, 10 on the battery, 5 on the Deye inverter, then paid after-sales service.

Tell us what you're trying to power.

A few questions and we'll tell you roughly what size system it needs, what it would take to keep you running through an outage, and whether we're the right people to build it.
